Individual Services Drawings

Individual Services Drawings (ISD) are part of the final output of the design process and are incorporated into the construction drawing pack from which the contractor will produce his shop drawings.

They can be produced directly from 2D trade design drawings using a simple spatial coordination process where the building is either small or lacks MEPF complexity.

However, for complex MEPF installations it is highly recommended to produce a clash resolved 3D model of the project before creating the ISD’s.

A 3D model allows a series of 2D extracts to be created for each trade which can be fully detailed with all relevant construction information including bottom of duct / service height vital information for the construction team to know.

The 3D model is also a master reference for all coordinated sections (CSD’s) and wall / floor penetrations.
