Retro Commissioning

Retro Commissioning is a process recognised by the LEED process, USGBC allocate up to six points for undertaking this exercise.

As buildings age, the settings of equipment, valves, pumps and fans need to be adjusted to bring them back to best possible operating condition. This improves the environment within the building and saves on energy consumption.

Apart from making sure that installed equipment is up to date in respect of maintenance, no other investment in equipment is required.

LEED recognise that retro-commissioning reduces energy consumption and has the potential to extend equipment life, as it is working more efficiently.
