Megaworld Corporation attains LEED Silver Certification for Uptown Tower 1 and Tower 2
Megaworld Corporation, one of the Philippines’ biggest real estate developers, attains LEED silver certifications for the Uptown Place Tower 1 and Tower 2 Projects located at East Uptown BGC, 11th Drive Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines.
Forsspac provided professional third party core and shell LEED CxA services. Forsspac industry leading MEPF consultants ensured that all MEPF systems were installed, tested and commissioned as intended. Forsspac collated all Operations & Maintenance Manuals and ensured that the final building at handover complied with the owner’s requirements.
The Uptown Towers 1 and 2 are part of the 17.9-hectare community at Uptown Bonifacio, serving as grounds for new luxury residential condominiums and mixed business and commercial developments designed for cosmopolitan living. The Tower 1 has a total CFA of circa 43,000 sqm, while the Tower 2 has a total CFA of circa 45,569 sqm.
Both condominium buildings have 20-storeys with roof decks. The towers achieved the silver status after accomplishing the required energy performance and prerequisite criteria for the LEED certification set by the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (USGBC).
